Send a postcard to your
elected officials in Congress and tell them…
We'll mail postcards with your photo and message to your elected officials in Congress — for free.
The federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) has helped lower the cost of going solar for more than a million American families, businesses and others. It provides a one-time 30% tax credit for the cost of solar systems and battery storage. Now, the solar tax credits are scheduled to phase down at the end of this year if Congress does not act.
Congress is now considering an extension of this critical solar tax credit.
Send your Congressional representatives a postcard and urge them to extend the solar ITC. Tell them the 30% tax credit helps Americans generate their own power and lower their energy bills, while creating economic opportunity and local clean energy jobs.
A picture is worth a 1,000 words. We want lawmakers to see — and hold in their hands — thousands of photos that show why solar power is important to the people and communities they represent.
Nothing! It's free. All you have to do is select a photo, type a short message describing why solar is important to you, and tell us your address (so we can find your legislators). We do the rest.
Upload two photos: one of your solar installation, and one of you and your family. Use photos you already have or take new photos with your phone.
Write your own slogan, or select from our list of popular options.
Tell your legislators why you love your solar, why solar is important to you, and what you want them to do to support solar.
With your address, we'll find your federal legislators. We'll mail your postcard to each of them.
Check your postcard for accuracy and take a look at the lawmakers who will receive your postcard. If everything looks good, approve your postcard.
Solar United Neighbors helps people go solar, join together, and fight for their energy rights. Together we're building a modern, clean energy system with rooftop solar as the cornerstone.
